Christina Aranda is originally from Houston, Texas. She holds a BA in Music – Vocal Performance from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas and is a 2009 graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Ms. Aranda performed the role of Abuela Claudia in the national tour of In the Heights. She also toured the country in The Kennedy Center’s production of Barrio Grrrl!, written by Quiara Hudes (bookwriter, In the Heights).

Immediately following graduation from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she was featured in the Broadway Rising Stars concert at NYC’s historic Town Hall.

Favorite past performances include Man of La Mancha (Housekeeper/Innkeeper’s Wife), Songs for a New World (Woman 2), Urinetown (Little Sally), and Damn Yankees (Meg Boyd).

Additionally, she has been highlighted in several NYC showcases, readings, and cabaret events, including To Wit: Humor in Song with Steve Ross, internationally known cabaret artist, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Ms. Aranda is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
